ekeg’s leadership team and parent company, EVAARO (owned by MML Capital), have announced the acquisition of Keg Logistics across the UKI, US and Canada.
The acquisition brings together two great complimentary companies across these geographies under one ownership group.
In doing so, it bolsters the ambition to create a leading keg management company in the beverage circular economy, increasing customer experience, keg and cask fleets, team capability, product quality and service delivery.
This marks another major milestone in ekeg UKI’s growth strategy and an important development for all our employees and the draft beverage market.
In the UKI, the combined company will continue to operate simply as ekeg under the ongoing leadership of CEO, Christian Barden.
“Over the coming months, we will continue to ensure delivery of our products and plans to our customers as the industry prepares for the busy spring trading period, Summer and the FIFA World Cup” said Barden.
He added “Our combined teams share a commitment to service, quality, sustainability, and creating value in partnerships with producers of every size—from local craft breweries to the UKI’s largest beverage brands. With the positive changes already underway at ekeg, this acquisition marks another significant step in our growth strategy and a major development our customers.”
In the US, the Keg Logistics business will continue to be lead by founder and CEO, Chris Sapyta. In Canada, the North Keg business will continue to be lead by founder and CEO, Matt Wowchuck.
By combining keg management best practices, industry-leading tracking technology, and a larger shared keg and cask pool, ekeg will advance a more eYcient, eZective and environmentally responsible supply chain for the draft beverage industry.
This acquisition reflects ekeg’s belief in the long-term strength of the brewing and hospitality sector. A more resilient draft infrastructure will support continued growth and innovation— enabling producers to distribute with confidence and helping venues deliver consistently great draft experiences for consumers.
